2008 Round Up ......

As this is a new Blog only started at the beginning of December 2008 I thought it would be good to just do a quick round up of 2008 for those interested …and to say …”Thank You! ”

January – There was albums, albums and more albums … my change of album supplier did much to increase this demand with some brilliant new reportage style albums and coffee table books.

February – CDS Global February New Year Years Party ...don't ask but a great time was had by, among the welcoming committe was a fire eater ..... also a Charity Fashion Show for Breast Cancer Awareness shoot organised by Salon Vie , along with a very high number of wedding consultations.

March – The wedding season commenced as did the workshop season with the start up of clickonphotography and the first couple of residential courses at fantastic Wroxall Abbey Estate, including a Wedding Photography Workshop using the Wren Family Chapel and some great models and bridal wear.

April – Weddings galore …4 weddings in April I think this is most I have done in April, also a thanks to John for his lead on one of these as I wasn’t a well man.(Man Flu is a terrible thing)

May – Tate Liverpool kept me very busy due to the Capital of Culture for most of the year and especially in May.

June – A record number of portrait sittings for a summer month and my first sighting of Elvis at the Ballam’s 40th Birthday Day Event. Then there was the wedding of year .....Hawaiian style with Norman & Karen (Karen is a Make Up Artist who knows an awful lot of photographers so it was a great honour when she chose me to shoot her wedding).

July – Lots of weddings and a wedding fair …and umbrellas all round … not the driest summer on record.

August – I had a short break at the Edinburgh Fridge great company with some very good friends …still not sure how I managed this with 5 weddings the same month ..!

September – The wedding season started to draw to a close, with lots of albums to do, the notably wedding was Barry & Rhian with my after service photography from the pulpit.

October – Terry & Gill was the last wedding of the year and certainly one of the most enjoyable …thanks for looking after me guys I felt more like a guest.

November – Hello to Little Angel’s pre-school for the fourth year running this is life style portraiture I can see no point in attempting formal shots with young children the results are so much better when they are at play.

Other notes from the year have to be my sincere thanks to my many clients who make what I do for a living so much fun, and to those other photographers, models and make up artists who have worked with and have inspired and encouraged me especially to experiment with different formats of photography that has done so much to keep my work fresh. Thank You All …I look forward to much more creative fun in 2009.

Thanks for reading this.
Marc;-)
