I have today ordered a Phase One digital back for medium format digital capture. After trying several options I chose the Phase One digital back with Capture One software to produce what he believes to be the highest quality of image presently available. The benefits to my commercial customers will be immediate (once the back arrives that is) with all future commercial commissions using this digital back coupled to his Hasselblad H1 medium format camera. As from next year wedding and portrait clients wishing to have large prints will also benefit from this investment and will be able to see themselves in images of unrivaled quality.
On this post are images taken are with q trial Phase One back I had earlier this year, as I think you will agree the tonal range and colours are exceptional.
This is a 16 MP back, which gives me the square format I so like, and it isn't the number of mega pixels that are important but more the size and calibration of them along with them being true 16 bit. Really looking forward to using this ...but for those that know me ...no film isn't dead ...I shall continue to shoot it for as long as the make for my personal projects. Marc;-)
