Among my many personal photographic projects is my record of Delamere Forest, in Cheshire, through the seasons. Due to summer being a very busy time for me with wedding coverage, these projects usually have to take a bit of a "backseat" but realising that I had no summer images of the forest, desided to make an extra effort with a very early start this morning to see if I could get the colours of summer reflected in my favourite stretch of water at sunrise ... and I achieved it with this with one shot.
I have to stress this was one shot, it really was the only shot I took with my medium format camera and the reason was that there was no more than a 10 second window where the sun cut through a very grey rain clouded sky. I have to admit that although when you only get one chance, you later think did I get it right, getting it right is massively rewarding.Labels: marc byram photography landscape delamere forest cheshire summer trees lake reflection
