A series of images entiteled "Sad Clown"
I recently had the pleasure of working again with a couple of great artists. Sophie a brilliant model who was travelling this way, between other shoots, and Karen a local make up artist who with a couple of days notice came up not only with make up but also helped me with the styling of this whole shoot for this "Sad Clown" series.

The concept was one I have had in my head for a few years now, but had not really fully formulated anything, until Sophie let me know she was coming my way and that started the catalyst for what was a supurb shoot. I suppose like most people clowns have a strange fasinatation for me they express human emotion without the need for words and yet at the same time they are sereal and much larger than life. Also most clowns are male and with the use of female model I also think I add a further dimension by giving the clown a femine recognition to the viewer. Also I feel these particualr three images work very well togther as a triptych. I was also great being in the studio again, it has been a fair time since I have done anything like this and really enjoyed it.Labels: marc byram photography white faced female clown sad tear rose hat
