It is always lovely to get good news ... so when I got a phone call from a couple whose wedding I shot last July, telling me that the Brides cancer was in remission, I have to say I had a big smile on my face ...still got it in fact !
July 19th 2008 was a very happy day for Russ & Heidi with friends and family they celebrated there wedding the atmosphere was warm and loving and my lasting impression was one of great joy, which I think I really captured in the pictures I took for them on that day. This was in stark contrast to the news Heidi received within weeks of that wonderful day, to say she had cancer which had spread rapidly through her body. She under went immediate treatment at The Christie NHS Trust, a centre of excellence for cancer care. Her news today is this treatment was successful and she is remission, truly good news !
Like the wonderful person that Heidi who seems to put other people first she now wants to give something back to Christies and is organising a charity event in January, (you have my full support on this one Heidi what ever i can do let me know.)Labels: marc byram photography good news story bride and groom fund raising for christies
